Last updated: 13 May 2026. This page explains what WEXTheory stores, why it is used, and how study tools such as tests, saved questions, and Exam Words 2026 keep progress.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password hash. We also store test attempts, answers, saved questions, progress history, support messages, and files attached to support requests.
We use your information to run the service, verify accounts, reset passwords, save learning progress, show results, unlock access, verify certificates, and reply to support requests. WEXTheory does not sell personal data.
We use an authentication cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF cookie to protect forms. Browser storage may keep theme choice, interface preferences, selected audio voice, cookie preference, and temporary test state. For full-access accounts, Exam Words known/difficult progress is also saved with your account so it can sync across your devices; demo progress may stay only in the current browser.
Optional analytics starts only after you accept analytics cookies. It counts page visits, active sessions, and limited study-flow signals such as key button clicks, repeated clicks, and long page views so we can find confusing parts of the site. It does not store IP addresses, precise location, device fingerprint, or raw per-click tracking.
Exam Words 2026 includes vocabulary terms, translations, Danish reference words, quiz state, account-synced known/difficult progress for full users, and audio playback settings. Audio voices are provided by your browser or operating system through the Web Speech API, so the available voice list can differ between phones, computers, and browsers.
Verification emails and password reset emails are sent through Resend. Optional Google sign-in uses Google's authentication flow. If you choose those features, the related providers process the data needed to complete that action.
Passwords are stored as secure hashes. Plaintext passwords are not stored. Account access is managed through signed authentication tokens and HTTPS connections.
Your account and learning history remain in the system until they are removed. Browser-side progress can be cleared by clearing local browser storage. For account deletion or privacy requests, contact support.
WEXTheory currently uses services such as Google Fonts for typography, Resend for transactional email delivery, and optional Google authentication. If you choose to contact support through Telegram, that message content is handled there as well.
For privacy-related questions, correction requests, or deletion enquiries, please use the contact page.
